Investment in the Future of Engineering

After a three-year apprenticeship that was extended due to Covid, Tayler Mahoney a 21 year old young man from St Margaret’s near Dover, has become a fully-qualified HGV technician working for local family-owned company Husk (UK) Ltd. A proud Tayler was presented with his certificate by Star Cargo group chairman Mr John James during a ceremony at the Husk offices near Dover.

Tayler initially participated in an assessment and selection process back in 2019 and was successful in being offered the chance to enrol and complete a MAN Truck & Bus Apprenticeship programme in conjunction with REMIT Automotive Accademy funded by Husk (UK) Ltd.

The Directors of Husk (UK) Ltd commented,

"Tayler had demonstrated considerable enthusiasm for this opportunity and showed strong commitment throughout the theoretical and practical training programme. We are extremely pleased that his hard work and dedication has paid off. It is important for the business to continue to invest in the future engineers that will meet the needs of our wide and varied commercial vehicle fleet clients."
