It’s always good to be appreciated by your customers. In day-to-day emails and phone calls it’s lovely to get a ‘thanks’ and know you’ve helped someone and solved their problem. Of course even with valued long-term clients there are sometimes disagreements and disruptions, but everyone tries to be civil and get the jobs done with the minimum fuss.

Of the thousands of jobs every month most end with a thankyou but a few are even more positive. Our client in this case had a very difficult set of circumstances importing a consignment on a particular vehicle. Sometimes there are complex interlocking problems. First of all these need to be understood, which can take some thought! Then our colleagues need to gradually and calmly unpick and resolve them.

When the matter is successfully resolved, preferably quickly, cheaply and without the goods being damaged, it’s lovely that the client appreciates the extra mile we’ve gone to help.
