“My client, an Austrian haulage company, contacted me about ferry prices for a project of abnormal loads crossing the Baltic Sea from Germany to Sweden. In this case the loads were large transformers.”

“I established with the ferry operator which routes these various dimensions and weights could be shipped on and quoted the ferry prices. As a result my client was able to pitch successfully for the transport project.”

The first truck was 32350 x 3000 x 4350 mm, and weighed in at a very heavy 135 tonnes, and other was nearly the same.

“The actual transport happened in mid-March when we arranged suitable crossing dates and times for my client with the ferry company and both trucks crossed without any problems from Rostock to Trelleborg.”

This is one of the many instances where Harbour Shipping’s expert knowledge helped a project succeed for all concerned, in this case between two countries hundreds of miles from the UK.
